No. ReelsCut runs entirely on your machine. The AI models are bundled with the app — no internet required to process, edit, or export your videos.
A modern CPU with at least 8 cores is recommended. GPU acceleration is optional but significantly speeds up processing. NVIDIA (CUDA), Apple Silicon (Metal), and AMD (ROCm) are all supported.
ReelsCut supports all major formats: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, and more. If FFmpeg can read it, ReelsCut can process it.
The detection model analyzes multiple signals simultaneously: speech energy, emotional peaks in audio, visual motion intensity, and scene composition. The result is a ranked list of clips sorted by potential engagement.
